Chris, I am not sure that BOTH drivers had been told to save fuel BEFORE Jensons move, Yes the message was heard on the TV coverage to Lewis and Lewis was told that Both cars had been told, however surely given the importance of such a transmission in viewer interest terms if any Such message had been Passed to Jenson BEFORE the one to Lewis this would have been broadcast as being very relevent and of significant interest yet no such message was heard. I know we are not transmitted all of the radio chat and what is transmitted is delayed and hence someone has to edit what is made public so why would this person or persons deem that a save fuel message to Jenson would be less noteworthy than a later meaasge telling Lewis to save fuel. It is also very likely that Jenson was in a better position with regard to fuel levels and tyre degredation than Lewis as he had sat just a second or so off Lewis for many laps in the less turbulent air whereas lewis must have been suffering some front tyre degredation from sitting in the very dirty air so close behind the Red Bulls for most of the stint on the prime up to the DOH! moment for Red Bull.
