Discrimination based on age, gender, race etc is illegal. Your comparison fails because your ability to earn is within your control. You cannot control your age, gender, race etc.
A more valid comparison would be if first class tickets cost more for the under 25's, for instance. Of course, no company could do this.
Further, your argument that you should not have to pay higher premiums because of the "sins" of the young, can equally apply to the young drivers in this thread who should not have to pay higher insurance premiums for the "sins" of their peers.
Having said that, your general point is correct. The insurance companies are not discriminating against anybody based on age, it is entirely based on driving experience. More correctly, they discriminate based on estimated risk but that's a matter of semantics. As such, it is perfectly legal and perfectly acceptable. It is the entire premise of the insurance business; higher risk = higher premiums.
