Very suspicious – I didn't think Donnington was anywhere near good enough for F1. Silverstone is so far ahead, which has taken years of development and even that was being criticised. To me the damage to the circuit looks like a show. Failed project! Damage too great! Why? My guess without being too cynical is that someone's been planning a new housing estate for foreigners.
Although of all the circuits in the country I found Donnington is probably the snobbiest (Brands being less so now) so its no surprise they could have had delusions of grandeur. However, this mess should never have been allowed, I would like to see someone charged for what amounts to criminal damage or negligence.
Its a great place to race and I hope someone puts it back to how it was.
