Hang on Mark... your telling me me that if (hyperthetically) Barrichello, Vettel or Webber had got their act together and ACTUALLY capitalised upon Jensons' poor performances in the second half of the season and one of them ended up winning the world championship themselfs, with Jensons performances / results remaining constant, but he'd ended up NOT winning the championship then you would say he DID fall to pieces? But because Rubens and co did NOT capitalise your view is that he didn't fall to pieces?

How can that be given the for the two scenarios Jenson would not have done ANYTHING different!

His performances (especially in qualifying) were ABYSMAL! Yes most of his races were 'better' than his quallifying but compared to the start of the season his results, whilst consistant were consistantly POOR!

Lewis fell to pieces in 2007. Yes! But Kimi and Fernando capitalised and subsequently he did not win the championship.

Jenson ALSO fell to pieces in 2009. But Rubens and co did NOT capitalise and therefore Jenson won the championship!

Thus my comments regarding Jenson winning the championship BECAUSE of his HUGE points lead that diminished throughout the second half of the season AND his closest opponents FAILURE to capitalise!

Hence my initial point (aimed towards Ian) that he cannot compare Jenson winning in 2009 because of his experience, and Lewis not winning in 2007 because of his inexperience!
