Just thought id add some fuel to the fire!

With consistancy and cheating in the same thread, add in Schumacher, Alonso and Hamilton for good measure peoples clearly biast views one way or the other make for interesting reading!

I agree with comments that Alonso is by far the superior 'sportsman' when compared to Schumacher everyone is seeming to forget Hungary 07 when he used Michaels tactic during qually. To use one of your examples... he parked his car (albeit in a far safe place than Michael... Senna and Prost example? Cold blooded attempt at cheating anyone?!?!) infront of Lewis in attempts to not only ensure he got pole position, but also to prevent Lewis from getting a final lap in! Monaco re: Schuey anyone?! Ring any bells??!!

I also disagree with you saying Lewis didn't have it in him to beat Kimi in 07. By that merit neither did Alonso, when in my opinion BOTH were perfectly capable! Yes Lewis threw the car off the road, but didnt Alonso throw it into the barriers quite spectacularly in the wet with a couple of races to go? Not exactly the 'stong' end to the season I recall reading about in the thread below! I very much believe that if they hadn't had their spat mid season one of the two WOULD have and SHOULD have walked it!

Im not saying Lewis is squeaky clean (Oz 09, something that disappointed me a great deal) and I DO like Alonso! I cant say I will be supporting him this year as he is in a red car, but I DO like Alonso! He is exciting to watch AND he's the man that stopped the relentless bore that was a red blur on the top step of the podium. For that I am forever in his debt!!!

My point... Alonso HAS cheated, prior to Ferrari... I think in a few years we will see whether or not he is capable of the things Michael was. I hope NOT. But Michael (for the time being) has had more time to prove what he is capable of, especially within the team that do ANYTHING to win!

Give Alonso a few years in a Ferrari and I shall review my opinion!
