Wilson may have won more world titles, but I would have placed him on a par with Allen & well behind Fullerton. Most of Wilsons success was as a result of his being the works IAME driver in the days of the 135cc class. This was a class that was created for political purposes, to re-establish IAME at the top at a time when DAP where threatening to overtake them. When the class was announced, IAME already had engines ready for the class, and the rest were playing catch-up for the next few years. Don't forget, it was around this period ('78-'82)that Ayrton Senna Da Silva was competing at the world championship, as Fullertons DAP team-mate, resulting when asked in his later years who was the best driver he'd raced against, in his replying "Terry Fullerton"!
