When MS was winning everything how do we know if it was him or the car,if i remember rightly during his most dominant period in a Ferrari it was common knowledge that the Ferrari was the best car out there give or take, whether that was down to some secret relaxation of the rules for Ferrari due to the now 'common knowledge' of the FIA bias towards them or MS being a great driver,i guess we'll never know.
Tyres play a big part too,JB has mainly suffered from the Brawn not being able to heat its tyres, they had no diffuser issues as it was them, toyota and williams that had the double diffuser, the brawn has suffered from tyre problems, when the tyres work then so did the brawn.
I remember times where MS was nowhere in it because the michelins worked better than bridgestones on certain tracks, yet the bridgestone inters were streets ahead of the michelins, did that make MS look like a class driver in the wet...i think so.Michelins were better on hot days, that made the McLarens look a good car.
I think the tyres have let brawn down in the second half of the season, yes i know other teams can make them work but even rosberg complained this weekend that the tyres weren't that good and that a second supplier would create competition and better tyres, otherwise you just get a control tyre that has no and never will have any consistency,if michelin was still about i would bet my house on it that brawn would switch for 2010
