hi, i drove our transit van to karting today with the L plates on as im a learner with my grandad beside me. thought this was all fine as we had rang up the insurers and they had insured me on it.

however my driving instructor was up the pub with my grandad talking and he rang me saying that he didn't think i was allowed to drive the transit with a provisional licence.

the transit is just a normal transit van with a gross laden weight well under 3500kg. so what i want to know is, am i allowed to drive the van with my L plates as i am? iv searched the internet and couldn't find anyhthing but if i get pulled over and im not allowed to drive the van, that will then invlidate the insurance which would get me six points which would mean i would lose my licence for 12months before iv even passed my test! help please!!
