See this is a perfect example of conflicting info....

I once bought a quad,the company who sold them also carried out all the work req'd to make it road legal(PLG'ing) as its known,i went to said company in a van to pick it up,got home with it and checked a few things as you do but couldn't find the tax disc anywhere,rang said company to be told tax disc has been applied for but hadn't arrived in time,said they wouild forward disc to me when it arrived to them,i was p****d,rang DVLA to see if i could still use it until tax came,they said use it at your peril,you may get away with it OR you may get stopped,if you do its probable that you'll be fined for failing to display,this was only 3 years ago
