I know we are in the middle of a financial storm at the moment, but I do think this budget cap, and as a result the two level championship, on track at the same time, is the wrong way to go.

Back in the 80's, my dad raced gearbox at Lydden where they mixed 125, 210 and 250's (single and twin)on the same grid, with the different classes setting off at timed intervals.

Was fine until the 250's caught the 210's and you had karts arriving at corners with considerable differences in speed.

There were safety issues, with my dad having at least one visit to A&E as a result of nothing more than speed differential.

Is this what we will end up with in F1 if they put a twin level field together at the same time, and F1 cars have less room on track than karts. Mind you, suppose it will create some sort of overtaking when all these little teams get lapped.

Stop the messing about and let the teams sort their own lives out. F1 has always been expensive, teams have always come and gone and I don't see that changing much. F1 is supposed to be the test bed for innovation. Don't stangle it.

If you are going to sit at the best table in the best restaurant, you better have a bl**dy good card to pay the bill. Simples....
