They'll ride this one out as well, what do you think? Bordon Grown dares not to call the election. He knows clearly that no one voted for him in office in the first place and the only way to keep it is to sit put for as long as he can! So by this time next year there'll be a number of other scandals/recessions/wars/famines/plagues/etc. to take our mind of this pity little episode!

Mind you, this expenses row still pales in comparison with what the bankers and City Traders have been taking home for bankrupting the country!
Not to mention what the (primadonas) Football Players take home.

I'm not defending the MP's in the slightest, however the whole system of "expenses" was devised as a way of "filling-up the boots" and augment the wage. So does it really matter what they spent it on when they were all told to "go and spend it boys"?

What I think the whole saga shows it how bl**dy thick they all were to think that claiming for stupid things, entitled as they were (under the rules), won't eventually come out in the wash. Especially in a recession!
And the fact that self regulation doesn't work.

In the same way self flagellation doesn't either! I tried it this morning and after an hour the missus asked if she can help!
