You also need to remember where the pollution is being distributed, and what the pollution can be.

For example, your aircraft will often be travelling close too or above the troposphere, and depositing not just exhaust gases but also large quantities of water vapour.

Water Vapour is arguably the biggest 'global warming' factor that there is, and depositing it above the troposphere where it doesn't normally go is definitely disturbing.

But to go back to the original point. 95% of all air travel is 'frivolous', that's people going on holiday, or goods being shipped 'unnecessarily'. (Unneccessary goods being shipped: vegetables grown in Israel, shipped to Kenya for packaging and then sold in a UK supermarket. Do you really need 'young corn and mangetout' handsorted in a little plastic tray? Or flowers grown in Chile to last 7 days near Mothering Sunday in the UK?)

Our weekends entertainment probably causes less overall pollution than the Sunday dinner and decoration.
