the two compound rule has nothing to do with racing and all to do with advertising.
it was written into the rules by bridgestone so that one of the main talking points on tv will be bridgstone tyres and boy its working better than they could have ever imagined every other sentance on the tv comentery mentions bridgstone and tyres and the efect of the correct compounds.
