"In an analysis of ALL accidents analysed 5% were speeding. In an analysis of fatal accidents 13% were speeding. No contradiction."
If 5% of people were speeding when they had an accident (or if 5% of cars were red), then you'd expect 5% of people having fatal accidents to be speeding (or 5% fatal accidents being red cars) But it isn't! It's 13%. Thus showing you that speeding makes it more likely to be killed in an accident. You see, even using your flawed logic it **still** shows that speeding increases the risk. How can you not see something in black and white?
"Even if we take your view that speeding was the 'cause' you are left with the uncomfortable conclusion that speeding drivers have less accidents that law abiding ones" - Did you even think about what you were writing before you said that? Drink driving is listed at 8%, so therefore using your stupid logic 'drink drivers' are SAFER than drivers who don't drink. Do you see how ridiculous you're being?
