Take a reality check Ian, a brain surgeon knows the intricacies of the human brain ,and in addition to a lesser degree the rest of the body don't forget. he is skilled in surgical procedures most MPs or any human would never dream of undertaking, his skills aren't simply adapted from his/her other job nor is he there because he gives a good argument or debate.

Show me where I implied binmen deserve less ! They do a damn good and necessary job, they deserve every penny ,unlike some MPs.

When did you last hear of an MP being on an active front line, not a visit by the PM to "the front" prob some 20 or more miles from the real FEBA Forward edge battle area. Does the Speaker of the House come under the gaze/aim of a Taliban fighter when he stands up? NO didn't think so. You simply CAN NOT compare them on that level.

Possibly killed hundreds of thousands in Iraq and Afghanistan !!!! Are you living on cloud cuckoo land or just your own little world? I thought you were fairly well up on these matters.

And what has who gets paid the most got to do with the decision making? That is carp and you know it.The decisions on military issues are ultimately taken on the ground and Westminster can swivel if it isn't feasible. Some reason can always be found why it is impractical to do it their way.

Again ,not suggesting having a pay reduction ,leave them as they are , just don't pay them stupid salaries like you want to.

No doubt you could get people to do my job for less, I would probably do it for less but they offered me £XXXXX and I took it !

No I don't think I could run the country single handed nor set the world to rights all on my own, unlike some people, Nor do I try and force my views on others, I may voice my opinion and it may differ from yours but that's life. I think they are already paid at an adequate level,I wonder if they would vote for some form of "productivity Bonus" for themselves, doubtful, they'd end up owing the country at this rate.

If I ran for election I would be as bad as some of the people I mentioned in my earlier post ,I admit I would have a very personal agenda on several matters, but at least I admit it. Not like your Baby hugging hypocrites.
