to help and answer some of your question I found this. Im sorry if its long winded. (edited)
------------------ unable to post report? (sorry) ------------ (tmoon note) (Hiroshima was a 1.3 KT A-Bomb) x 100 = 1.3 megaton. 1.3 megaton is the total size upon this study seems to be based on. 1.3 kt x 100 = 1300kt = 1.3 megaton ( I hope my math is better than my spelling - sorry if it is wrong, its not meant to be) Atmospheric Testing only in 1962 by the USA only was 39 megaton. This is approximately HALF of Thermonuclear testing in just that year. All this adds up to - Approx total event in 1963 = 80 megatons atmospheric event only. The study is based on 1.3 megaton. Does it take much thought that this would need serious concideration on the effect on our climate? least of all potencial damage to the ozone layer!
