I used www.freevirtualservers.com who will provide good quality hosting without loads of pop-up ads etc. All they require is a very small ad-banner.

If you need more space and bandwidth then I the one we use now (I have set up a few accounts for folk) is good

We use the premium account at around Ł20 a year with 10,000mb webspace and 100,000Mb bandwidth

always easy to deal with too.

They are always doing deals where you can get a year for Ł1.95 or so for new accounts.
