The fundemental question we're missing is 'Why do we want to stop climate change?
Obviously it's to save our skins from whatever might be about to happen and for some to save the planet. I don't think anyone should really care less about the planet, that will still be here long after humans are extinct.
But this still doesn't address the fact that by doing something we might actually end up making life even worse for us, perhaps killing most of us off even sooner.
This is because, and it's so blinding obvious, we have absolutely no chance of significantly reducing emmissions without either taking everyone back to a life pre industrial revolution or by a massive reduction in population.
The former just isn't going to happen, which just leaves the latter, which is prrobably the only chance mankind has, IF, man made emmissions are causing climate change.
