For me personally its because the cars are just so boring to watch. They may well just about be the fastest cars on the planet still, but they don't look it anymore. No drama, no fuss. The cars are all glued to the track, races are now littered with amateurish overtaking and the grid is half full of nobodys like Pastor Maldonado....
Doesnt interest me. Show me MotoGP anyday, spectacular machines riden by guys who HAVE to be the best riders in the world just to ride them!
Nothing difficult about driving an F1 car... Tom Cruise managed to drive one just fine!
Make em over powered, undergripped, barebones electronics and a manual/sequential gearbox and we'll see the skilled rise to the top. Then I'd watch it again.
Went to both the F1 and the F1 classic meeting at Silverstone this year, and the classic was by far the better event, in every single way. Says something about the GP.
