Just to clarify the current situation Malloryis now in the hands of the administrators. As of yesterday morning the BARC dissolved their involvement with the circuit and staff. The problem has arisen now because of some deliberate bending of the planning regulations imposed by the previously mentioned 1995 planning agreement limiting the circuit use to 93 days per annum, and with curfew limits on those days. Unfortunately the circuit management scheduled events , drag runs, drifting displays etc outside the permitted hours and thus invoked the wrath of some locals who then insisted the council act upon the breaches of the 1995 planning permission limits. Naturally the council were always going to win. Any court case where a breach or reaches of the permission could be proven. This is a classic lesson in how to loose venues so may well serve as a reminder that our sport is environmentally unfriendly and as such we must ensure we adhere to limits imposed by the laws of the land. The Mallory race meeting for bikes this weekend has been cancelled and moved to a new venue.
