I think you are mixing up personal loss and the loss of a figurehead.
I just do not see the same... Thatcher was a figurehead of a party that devastated the U.K and the North East in particular. She chose her persona, refined it and lived by it, as did all the other figureheads in history that crushed civilisations to get their way ( Genghis Khan, Attilla the Hun, Hitler, Gaddafi, Idi Amin... the list could go on...)
I just do not see it as a personal thing...how could I, for I did not know her as a person? When I hear of even a strangers personal tragedy I can feel deeply for them and their friends and families but not for those that set themselves above the average man in the street... for those that live by the sword also deserve to die by the sword!
