Its called progress, car engines are always getting better mpg whilst outputting more power. If you don't understand that things like this happen then I'm afraid I can't help you. As a side note, do you also not believe in evolution?????
Your other point about parkers getting their figures from the 'claimed' and massaged manufacturers figures just strengthens my point as even the manufacturers figures for consumption are well below your claimed ones. As we call know, a manufacturer will always claim their car is as economical as possible.
And as a final note, from your previous claims, yes, I certainly do consider Parkers to be a more reliable source than you, so far at least .
