Jenson pushed Lewis hard right from the start and by Lewis' own admission he killed the tyres in trying to maintain the gap and had the conditions stayed the same it would have only been a matter of time before Jenson took the lead. The weather mixed things up a little but even if Lewis went back out on another set of slicks (vs inters) I think he would have struggled to maintain pace with Jenson anyway.
Also note that there wasn't much between them in qualy either.. For me, Jenson is becoming more and more accustomed to the the car and the performance/results reflect that.
Shame about the penalty and I personally think the decision was wrong. Lewis car was sat right across the exit of the chicane! If he hadn't moved would DiR drifted off track anyway? Possibly...
Spa next - rock on :-)
