No Kudos, it was not a stupid statement, as I think Newshound realised! My point was, of course, that having successfully had the danger removed from F1, the drivers (it was Hamilton I read being quoted that the bump should be got rid of) now seem to want the challenge removed as well!
No Tmoon, I don't agree that safety is paramount....it is very important, but if it was paramount then the cars would not be allowed to exceed 20mph! It is a case of how much do you distort the sport to improve on an already excellant safety record. I admit that I think it already distorted too much, but the safety aspect was not the point I was trying to make. Making it safe is one thing, making it easier is quite another!
