Firstly, the speed kills campaign is against driving too fast, not just against driving over the speed limits. Secondly, the law does not say you are bad for going over the speed limit, it simply says you have broken the law and this is your punishment. You have already stated that speed limits need to be in place. What's the point in having them if they aren't going to be enforced?

But surely such drivers - who are evidently not very safe below the speed limit - would be much more dangerous were they driving above the speed limit? This seems like an argument in support of speed limits and the reduction of speed.
