The team lost that race for Lewis. Just before everybody made their final pitstop for hard tyres they pitted Lewis who was already on the hard tyres and then put another set of hard tyres on. So Lewis lost the 1 second per lap advantage which a set of softs were going to give. The correct thing to do would be to either have him make two stops for softs or have stayed out longer on the hard tyres and then brought him in for one final stop and put the soft tyres on. What they actually did completely baffled me at the time and I still can't understand why they did it now, it was plain obvious that he was going to lose out if they expected him to go to the end of the race at that point.
The second major error they made was leaving him out there on them tyres once they could see Jenson pulling away at an alarming pace and the cars behind catching him at an alarming pace, at around lap 43 they should have pitted him for the softs and he might have been able to rescue something from the race, instead they appear to have sit back and let him get well and truly beaten.
If Lewis did make that call for tyres at the end then it was a good call, the tyres wouldn't have lasted till the end of the race and he would have finished out of the points.
There was definitely something not right, you could see how angry Lewis was, he was absolutely seething. I have a feeling when he watched the race he would be even more angry as from what I saw the team completely let him down on strategy.
