I am stunned that 3 of us can clearly see the problem with the deadly history and potential legacy of fossil fuels. I am usually alone in such views which many people think are 'radical'. It's a nice feeling!

I am ALL for 'renewables' ...... BUT.... we simply HAVE to have OTHER, more conventional, power generators available (at least) for the days on which wind conditions, solar conditions, wave conditions, tidal conditions (4 times a day!) mean that such 'alternatives' are not providing the power.

If we HAD other options that did LESS damage than Nuclear power then I'd nevfer build another Nuclear generator....... we just DON'T! While it's the LEAST dangerous 'flexible' option, we simply don't have a choice......

.... unless we consider changing our life styles so that we ACCEPT we won't have power instantly available everyday or every week.
