Comparing the TT to driving on the roads is a JOKE!
Why?
It's the NUMBERS.....
Count how many racers attend weeks of racing at the TT. Be aware that the AVERAGE number of deaths of racers in the TT week since it's inception seems to be about 1.8 per year..... in truth..... that's REALLY 1.8 per WEEK! That's roughly 300 racers (average)..... and 1.8 of them DIE every WEEK of the TT.......!
Stretch that death rate over FIFTY TWO weeks foir a whole year... and that's NINETY THREE out of 300 per year... Is THAT figure acceptable....?
To be THAT lethal on the road, that would make the life expectancy of road-bikers almost EXACLY 3 years (actually.... I think it makes it 1.5 years....) ...... Wow..... road bikes ARE silly-dangerous..... but not on THAT scale!
Now tell me that riding a bike on the road is THAT lethal......
Transfer that to Karters..... would you TOLERATE that death level...?
Not for a bl**dy MINUTE you wouldn't!
Just stop pretending it's so wildly different from Gladiatorial combat..... which you lot don't seem to think IS an acceptable sport....!
