Paul Orritts crash in 1999, you do tend to realise how vunerable you really are in road racing.

Orritt actually got away from this with one, few broken bones, and I think I heard a lost finger.

Not sure if you could call him lucky.....but it could certainly have been worse.

Still, all the riders are acutely aware of these risks.....
