Well, quite frankly, I can`t see much point in MPV`s either, but that is straying away from the point.

I just cannot for the life of me see the point in using a 4x4 for shuttling up and down the motorway, the argument can be dressed up anyway you like, but it is still the same thing. If you need a 4x4 for farming, or indeed any outdoor pursuit for what 4x4 was actually intended, then fine, nut otherwise it is ridiculous.

You know, last winter, in the severe conditions, a friend of mine who has a Freelander was actually struggling to get his vehicle off his driveway, he simply did not have a clue, I had get it on to the road for him.....and I very much doubt this is an isolated incident. Everyday, in the middle of summer, I see women driving huge 4x4 vehicles of all makes to collect the kids from school, I think it can be nothing more than `king of the road`, `mine is bigger than yours` syndrome. It looks so ridiculous, I just have to laugh.
