.....and can see both sides of the story...on one hand, why should i pay for my education?? its going to better all of society, not just myself when i have my degree, some will say yeh well i will get a better wage and why should people pay for that in taxes......i say, i dont smoke, im not overweight but have to pay for people who get ill because of it through taxes to the nhs...its called society, we pay taxes so that in theory they are spread out to the people and benefit everyone.
looking at it from the other side though, i see a lot of students who just arent fit for university, who either drop out every time they try to do a course or do a course that will be completely useless.....i saw a group of students sitting a sex and the city exam last year LOL.....now it was either a biology exam with a twist or a film degree LOL
either way this company has to save some money, everyone has to pay their bit, the whole 9000 thing is being blown out of proportion, our fees are currently 3000, they will only rise to 4500, and the fact that students will now only have to pay them off once over 21000 is a great idea....i wish i could do that, because at least your on a fairly decent wage to begin with before you start paying back.
