i disaprove of cameras....but not completely. i think they, if used in the right place can be used as a useful tool to combat speeding...ie infront of schools, busy high streets. but putting them on every british road is pointless to me. its also the type of camera.....for me the gatsco has been used as a money making tool, if it wasnt then they would have brought in the much more effective averaging camera a long time ago....this camera is fairer and far more effective at managing speed.

like you say it will be interesting to see what happens to crash statistics over the next few months.....more speed doesnt necessarily mean more crashes!...it CAN be a contributing factor, just like volume of traffic, the weather and the driver....
