Oh RoadRat.... no wonder France suits you so well......

In 1939 we were at WAR with a country: in 2010, we are figting a smallish group who are trying to subjugate the majority fanatics in someone ELSE'S country.

When we locked up Germans in this country in 1940, we failed to notice that LARGE majority whom Hitler was killing and 'exterminating' were actually GERMAN.

We are SUPPOSED to be fighting this current set of skirmishes in the name of giving people FREEDOM OF CHOICE whereas you are now sugesting that we CURTAIL our OWN Freedom of Choice..... ca;'t you zsee how PECULIAR that is?

Your analogy with 1939 is more telling than you think..... the things that YOU are now claiming are the VERY things AGAINST which our parents fought! You are suggesting we step onto the early rungs of the 'ladder' that lead to FASCISM. The problem is that your suggestion mirrors the early actions of the NAZIs in 1939 (er.... 1933 onwards) ..... not those of the BRITISH at that time.

We all KNOW how the French behaved....... and we can't be surprised that you have been tainted with French values......
