That is NONSENSE Ian, and I suspect you, in your heart of hearts, know it is too!!!!

Because you clearly have no interest in the Manx TT or bike roadracing in general, therefore it doesn`t matter to you, you appear to think that everyone else should also lose out and suffer.

I say your highlighted statement above is NONSENSE, because it is UNTRUE!!!!

Arguably the greatest TT racer of all time was killed nine years ago, and even with your limited knowledge of the event you know EXACTLY who I am referring to......however that was not at the TT, which had a sad irony, but at a road racing outpost like Tallin.........the streets in Ireland were totally GRIDLOCKED at his funeral......but there weren`t cries of "Ban the TT and/or streetracing. I was AT the TT in 2004 when Dave Jeffries perished, another great, who had he lived might have even gone on to threaten the records set by `yer man`, yet again, I didn`t hear cries of "lets call it off".......there were plenty of tears, a few of my own, I don`t mind confessing, but everyone dusted themselves down, wiped away the tears, and carried on with the racing.

If this makes me, in your mind, in someway MAD, then fine, I am happy to let you think that.....for I KNOW that I am a sane and logical man.......along with Brian P, and the many thousands of others to which roadracing in general and the TT in particular, has become a way of life.

The fact that you believe it SHOULD be banned is an opinion that you are fully entitled to, but please don`t try to bully your own on myself and others.......the thread has been ruined now anyway, I asked initially for a straw poll amongst forum members, because I genuinely wanted to see what the consensus of opinion was (as to banning the GP).......because of your earlier input, the only actual reply to post was, ironically, from Brian.

I really meant what I said in an earlier posting about my wrapping up my own involvement in this thread because, as I said, it has been done before and you are NOT going to change my views, nor I yours, but some of the more ridiculous things you say, like the initial paragraph in THIS post, has forced me to reply..........but now that is it!!!
