David..... you are making a logical error, here.

Those who NEED to do what you are listing already KNOW that they can't do it with Apple and are using PCs or Unix/Linux stuff becasue there is NO other option.

Those like Alan and Trev (errr.... the 'light-weights') do NOT use their Macs for WORK..... because they CAN'T and because their work doesn't NEED a computer!

Those who have limited needs find the Mac PERFECT for themselves simply because the Mac DOES so little for people who NEED so little!

The Mac really is the PERFECT match for lightweights! It's the same concept as the My-Little-Pony-PC is GREAT for 3 year olds... the Mac is the next TINY step UP the chain, terminating in Unix MONSTERS via the Microsoft PC!

I have to be fair: you CAN do 'work' on a Mac..... you simply put it into Windows Emulation Mode and you have, effectively, a VASTLY over-priced, STAGGERINGLY SLOW pc that's the equivalent to a PC you could buy in a car-BOOT sale for Ł20..... but.... you'll look VERY 'cool' in front of easily fooled friends... until you tell them what you PAID for this Frankenstein's MONSTER when your rating as:

'cool'

.....will rapidly become:

'poseur' and 'sucker'......!
