Team orders have always played a part - 80's syle was race til the last 10 laps then hold station, cars were so much more delicate then - I always felt Coulthard made a mistake in a dominant McLaren by dealing with his team mate - first one to the first corner wins - he never was going to win the F1 championship like that, despite driving in the best teams most of his career.
Everyone want to see a race, but the cold hard facts are it is a team championship too, race with your team mate, but under the teams rules and never, ever ever 'take each other out' Its not the first and wont be the last time this will happen and its not even at the sharp end - 'silly season' started early - even the most important fight of all isnt settled yet - who will end up the Donkey!!! ;-)
