Far better in what way? Build quality? Yes definately, but does that equate to a more fun driving experience - No. Of which I thought the purpose of this purchase was to achieve weekend thrills. As an every day car and a weekend funster, S2000 without a doubt. But if its only going to rolled out a weekends, then the Elise is the car to go for every time, it won't be used enough to shake it apart so build quality isn't even a factor in this example.
If you are thinking reliability, then there is bugger all go wrong on an Elise, and for the year we're looking at here it is an ultra reliable, revvy Toyota VVC engine.
Driving thrills; the Elise wins hands down every time. It provides a raw and connected driving experience. The S2000, a touch more detached and muted - but of course still great; don't get me wrong.
Or do you think the S2000 is 'better' in any other way? If you are going make a statement that a car is 'better' car than another... please explain why!
