Whilst in theory I agree, I think motor racing is extremely `sanitized` these days and, although safety is always a primary concern it is, after all, motor sport, it is, by it`s very definition, supposed to have it`s risks and dangers and, of course, there will ALWAYS be the odd freak occurance, like the instances with Felipe Massa and Henry Surtees recently, to name but two.....
So long as ALL `possible` safety measures and compliances are fully in place, and constant impprovement and technology continue to make it even safer, then we can really only accept that the odd freak incident WILL occur from time to time, and these, IMHO, have to be accepted as an `act of God` in the same way that other freak accidents sometimes happen in all other walks of life
