Same old Doink. Get's trapped by his own daft ideas and then won't answer the question created by his answers!
For your 'education', they were fited to MANY Fords, certainly right up until the late 1950s on the Ford Popular 103e and 105e..... which is from where the engine to my first Seven CAME! At least my Seven only used it for the (silly) boot floor.... Ford used them for the WHOLE car. You'll note that the Seven was INVENTED while the wood-floor Ford Pop was STILL being produced, making them contemporaries!
So... if Lotus are daft fitting a Plywood boot floor which only ever had to carry the weight of the folded Canvas/Mohair roof... then what does THAT make your beloved ford which supported the DRIVER and PASSENGER'S weights.....?
