Oh... and Ayrton did NOT hit Alain! Alain hit AYRTON............ first........ a year later, that was reversed!!

Secondly, BOTH cars managed to stop AFTER the impact, safely, while STILL on the tarmac. Actually, they are both at the Apex after the impact. Had Alain been travelling at the 'right speed' and Ayrton was coming in too fast, then they would both have gone past the apex, which they didn't. Thus, the evidence is that neither was going TOO fast to make the corner. All we can know; is that Alain was NOT attempting to make the corner because we can see his trajectory. Alain did EXACTLY what he needed to win the Championship by ANY means required!

My point has always been that BOTH Alain and Ayrton 'cheated' to win championships. It's just that everybody forgets that Ayrton was RETALIATING for having the previous year's championship stolen from him. That doesn't excuse his utterly insane manouevre but it puts it in context!

And I have always thought that Alain KNEW that's why Ayrton did it!

If you listen to Alain's comments after the second event, he moans about Ayrton's lack of sanity for choosing THAT speed and THAT location to hit him. He never seems to complain about the FACT that Ayrton chose to hit him at all; just WHERE and how insanely FAST he chose to do it!
