There is only one person who is BLIND, here...... and that's YOU!

Not only COULD Prost see Ayrton going down the inside...... he would have been a total D*CK is he had FAILED to see Senna on every single INCH of the track on EVERY LAP!!

He already KNEW Ayrton would be making an attempt somewhere over the next X laps! The suggestion that Prost - one of the THE all-time-greats - would FAIL to expect Ayrton down the inside into a CHICANE is DAFT to the point of being BONKERS!

Not only can we be CERTAIN that Prost SHOULD have seen him, he also CHANGES HIS LINE AS SOON AS HE DOES SEE HIM!

On no OTHER lap does Alain drive OVER the grass at that corner! If he HADN'T seen Ayrton coming down the inside.... why, in GOD'S NAME.... did he take THAT line across the grass on THAT lap......?

Your suggestion is LUDICROUS!

Personally, I have a slightly different suspicion! I cannot PROVE this but becasue of my high respect for Alain's thinking abilities, I suspect he actually ENGINEERED the incident!

You are RIGHT....Ayrton DOES come from a fair distance 'back'. However, does it look as though Ayrton will MISS the corner....? Does it look as though arrives TOO Hot.....? No it DOESN'T!

Do we, therefore, assume that Prost made a MISTAKE and braked VASTLY too early....... in THOSE circumstances.... in the Race and Championship? The cool and damned nigh PERFECT racing brain that was Alain....?

No we DON'T!

What we can assume is that Alain D*E*L*I*B*E*R*A*T*E*L*Y brakes early and leaves the door OPEN to Ayrton making it 100% CERTAIN that Ayrton will come down the inside..... where Alain can (safely) deliver the CHOP...... which he promptly DOES.......and wins the championship by doing so!

Alain was NOT called the 'professor' because he could not PLAN his strategy! Alain is one DAMNED clever driver...... and a lot better at PR than Ayrton was!
