My rude comments were not aimed at yourself. I listed only three; not you.
In some ways, you ARE correct. I have lived through these conditions in the UK many times; I am old enough to remember the winter of 1962/63. Now that WAS cold! We (the Sassenachs) are no longer prepared as our weather has been VASTLY milder than it used to be. It would be BONKERS to prepare for hard winters when our recent experience has been for mild winters. The piece that surprises me is that we ARE surprised by the cold weather. It will prevent a few of us doing what we want for 24 or even (gasp!) 48 hours! The big change is that the dafter ones of us find such a thought STAGGERING! When the subject is considered by 'grown-ups', we can see that the money lost on such freezing days is MUCH less than the cost of preparing snow-ploughs and snow supplies and only manage to use 1 year in 20!
The answer is simple: put UP with it!
My main beef (above) is with the numpties who decide that, 'forget the glaciers melting, the Artic ice retreating, the Antarctic ice VANISHING, Greenland growing its own VEGETABLES, Australia dessicating, etc., etc.. oh no... there CAN'T be global warming BECAUSE my tootsies are cold on TWO days of the year'....
Regrads to you, waved yellow', old son!
