the way weather is forcast is not an exact science
the way it is done is they start with what is hapening now by actual reports from weather stations around the UK europe and rest of the world.
they then us a super computer to predict how that will change in one hour,do this a couple of thousand times and the average is what will probably be what hapens.
they then take this one hour forcast and predict again what will happen in one hour this gives a two hour forcast
they continue with this to predict 24 hr 48 hr 72 hr forcasts.

but as you can see the further we get away from the actual of what is hapening now the less predictable it will be.

weather forcasts today are very accurate compared to what they were 10n or 20 years ago.
