23 people were seriously injured this afternoon as a major crush ensued during a specially arranged Xmas pantomime for the Greater Manchester Schizophrenia Society at the Palace Theatre in the city centre, police have revealed.

It is reported that everything was going fine until Act 3, when during a spell of cast/audience participation, someone shouted...........

"HE`S BEHIND YOU!!!!!"
