Roy Keane is and always has been a total c0ck sucker. This is a guy who refused to play for his country and launched a vitriolic tirade against the manager because of the condition of his training facilities at the 2002 world cup. I would take anything he says in relation to Ireland with a lot more than a pinch of salt.

Whether Ireland would have made it to South Africa or not is debatable. Yes they played well in Paris, but not so well in Dublin. Furthermore, if that second goal in Paris hadn't happened, the tie would be level and it would probably have gone down to penalties which is a lottery really.

HOWEVER, the game should have been stopped when Henry handled that ball and that would have meant the second goal didn't go in. The fact it wasn't meant the goal did count and that was wrong. As a consequence of that, its quite understandable that people view France having reached the final as illegitimate.

Roy Keane's comments about Ireland's play are irrelevant. Something happened that shouldn't have... and that directly effected the results and that's that.
