Fuller details are on the Motorsport Memorial website.
Lorraine Peck was, I believe, British Junior Karting Champion. She was killed, age 16, during practice for the Junior World Karting Cup, at Fulda, Germany, on 10th July 1975. She was regarded as one of the best female drivers of her day.
The Memorial has her birth year as 1958. No other details, as to place of birth, or where she raced seem to be available.
Maybe some of our Karting Grand-Dads can help with more information. Seems sad that someone with so much promise should be lost to history.
The clip on YouTube must have been made not too long before her death. A pity we only got the gormlessness of the interviewer and the equally gormless presenter who obviously missed the tragedy that was to come.
