Like so many people today, Phil, you assume that because YOU have a personal preference for a something then all it requires is for you to 'ask' and for that to be 'given'. That does seem to be a howling error of this generation! Life, for grown ups, is not quite like that!

If what I write causes death, destruction and mayhem or severe injuries or cost you money or causes you physical pain or does ANYTHING which caused you harm or prevents the meaning being clear from my writing and/or a MYRIAD of other ACTUAL 'harms' to you or this site; then your opinion of my chosen style would MATTER to me and I would consider changing it! Now, I am renowned 'big-head' but it would be stretching even MY arrogance to think using capitals could have any of the above effects on you or anyone else. Thus, I feel fairly well justified in declining your request. I chose to treat it in the same way as YOU would treat it if I asked you to stick your head up a dead-bear's-bum: that, TOO, would be a request that I would expect you to decline. I just don't feel that MY opinion that you should accede to my request is SO important that you should comply with it!

Secondly, you keep making the assumption that I am not aware that capitals is viewed as SHOUTING... or that I am N*O*T INTENDING TO SHOUT! Which, of course, is another wrong assumption on your part.

You object to my use of Wiki as a reference but you offer NO MORE 'credible' resource for YOUR opinion on the matter THAN your opinion (and how would I stress the word ‘THAN’ to carry the note of ‘scorn’, which I seek WITHOUT capitalisation???)! Is this your way of applying for the post of THE most arrogant person on this site?? In my opinion, on THAT evidence, count me as the supplier of your number one reference for the post!!!

Finally, how strange, during a discussion on something QUITE so important as the potential return of the Fascists into British politics, you choose to comment on STYLE!! Were any of your ancestors those people who asked the Cable Street ‘rioters’ to ‘keep the noise down as we are finishing our afternoon tea’???

I look forward to crossing swords with you again; preferably, on more important matters!
