.. mechanically.... check out the seller also.
Private sale or dealer, there are a lot of rouges about.
The biggest mistake you could make would be to buy a car that has been stolen, re-birthed, or chop-shop repaired.
Suss out the seller. ask yourself äm i comfortable buying from this person...can i trust what they say" ?
A 55 yr old vicars wife selling a mini is probable a sound deal, but a 19yr old junkie selling a BMW very cheap...is possibly a dodgy deal. !
So check out the seller as well as the car !

..and don't buy the first car that takes your eye. !
