Well I hope you are 17 or over, a moped by definiton is a 50cc motorcycle with a design speed of 30MPH. If you have altered the bike to enable it to do more,by deristricting it ,rechipping, new expansion box ,whichever method you choose you are then taking it outside the reg's governing Mopeds,if a Police officer see's you riding at speed and checks you and then finds you to be over the margin of error (3mph + 10%,therefore 36mph)and checks your bike and finds mods he CAN report you for riding a Motorcycle not in compliance with your License,and if it's a bad day riding without insurance as it is insured for a Moped and ridden as a Motorcycle. Quite a few lads in Torquay were recently caught out in a "Blitz" and had their ears chewed ,most got a warning and told to get their 'peds back to standard.

Just out of interest,where were you taught to ride by your instructor on your CBT? Left of centre or near the crown of the road?
