Ive heard it too,initially i thought it might be KERS kicking in,for example when we think the gearbox selects 6th from 7th thus giving an increase in revs(the noise we hear) and back to 7th,OR.....maybe they are actually in 6th then when KERS kicks in with its 80hp the revs increase suddenly(because of the help from KERS)and then the gearbox selects 7th,in short the gearbox is still in 6th when we think its in 7th???

I know the McLaren does it(KERS equipped) but so did the brawn,but the brawn isnt running KERS,which im suprised about to be honest seeing as they use a similar system already on their road cars(Honda) along with Toyota.
